Why do we exist?
The Impactful English mission is to help one million, non-native English speakers progress in their career by 2021. We aim to achieve this through providing content, training, and coaching, designed to simplify and speed up the process of learning to speak English efficiently in the workplace.
Essentially, if you want to get fluent, confident and prepared to speak English at work, you have found the right place.
As our name suggests, we aim to have an impact on your English.
Who is Impactful English for?
You are going to benefit from this site if you are a non-native English speaker with an intermediate to advanced level of English, who needs English for work.
Typical situations in which you may need English at work are:
meetings,
presentations,
job interviews,
business trips,
email writing,
English for specific work areas,
or general business communication.
Speaking English in the workplace is very different from using it in social situations. Knowing how to use certain key phrases and vocabulary is just as critical as having the right mindset.
I have met many learners who are fine speaking English on vacation or in informal situations. But, when they have to speak English at work they have difficulty, and as a result get anxious, frustrated and stressed. This is normally because of 3 main challenges:
1. Lack of English language specific for work (business skills, vocabulary, fluency, listening issues etc)
2. Lack of confidence speaking English (fear of mistaking mistakes, worrying about what colleagues think etc)
3. Wrong ‘mindset’ (knowing how to train the mind to deal with the ‘uncomfortable zone’, dealing with blocks, self-study discipline etc)
The objective of this blog, content, and products is to guide you through these challenges and help you perform better professionally when you need to use English.

You will learn how to adopt the right mindset to get to the next level in your English. How to become more disciplined, increase persistence and motivation, are some of the topics which you can expect.
Mindset is an area most language schools and teachers neglect. This is unfortunate because having the right mindset is so important if you want to overcome the inevitable obstacles when becoming fluent in a language.
